A man of heart.

Thank you, Malcolm. As distorted as his expression of love could be, he did his best to express it, and most successfully in words (and letters.)

My pleasure.

I just fell head over heels into your father, an almost cinematic unfolding of layer-upon-later of vulnerability, passion, and of course, love. What a greatness, now expressed through a son, from off the top of his tongue.

You always get it, Kimberly. You are a deep reader and I suspect a deep listener. Every comment from you is meaningful to me.

This is a love letter about love letters, and a most beautiful tribute to a complex and special person. I see now what you meant about your father also gifting you with the language of writing. This whole piece is filled with love and a deep admiration, and as a child of divorce and alcoholism and parents who did not listen well to each other, those last few paragraphs moved me to tears. I'm totally blown away (again). Thank you.
