Acknowledged. I love her. In a different way to the way in which I love Carolyn, I think I just have a crush on Carolyn. I love The Bulldog aggressively. I want to contort myself alongside her.
Her Christmas Eve rebellion reminded me of one of my favourite moments ever. We happened to go to the Cathedral of St. John the Divine one New Years Eve, and Judy Collins was there. She stood in the pulpit, spoke a little, and then, totally unaccompanied, broke into Amazing Grace. It was one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard. I kept thinking of the line from Marc Cohn’s song, “Tell me, are you a Christian, child? Ma’am, I am tonight”. Judy is beauty personified, of course. But, TB singing “A star, a star shining in the night” gave me that same feeling.
And the Sandman, listening and watching from the wings…❤️🔥 I’m more than ready for more, when there’s more…
You are amazing! Your words evoke such imagery that I have tears streaming down my face. Some I laugh at, some bring a smile, others food for thought but this one I cry and I am not sure why? Very touching I guess? Thank you!... again...
This is bordering on genius, Adam. It's absolutely wonderful. I'm not sure when or if all the threads will start coming together (not TOO soon I hope) but in the meantime, one of the best things I've read in years.
I wondered if K-tel would even blink on a radar anywhere. I started out looking in very early drafts for the record sets that were sold on TV but the artists were “in the style of.” So you’d spend all the money for this amazing box set and after a little while you’d be like what the hell is this? K-Tel did have original artists, bless them. If you remember the same hit would get multiple mentions in the scroll. Look! Billy, Don’t Be a Hero seven times! 😂

I remember reading this comment, but I can’t believe I didn’t hit like on it or even otherwise acknowledge it. Thanks Chloe.

I just saw this comment I can’t believe never acknowledged! Thank you.

Yup. But not bordering, full-immersion, drowning in genius.
There's something of Bradbury in it. Or me, a teen, reading it. trying to never look in mirrors.
