Story #9: "About the Author"
Version one draft of the 100 Stories author's biographical notes and book jacket photo.
Adam Nathan is the host of NPR’s “All Things Considered” and former shortstop for the New York Mets, where he played in Game 6 of the 1986 World Series. He won the National Book Award in December, 2000 for All New Bible Stories. His reverse translation of Constance Garnett’s War and Peace back into Russian is acclaimed by contemporary Russian critics, who consider it equal to, if not finer than, the original. Adam’s daily newspaper column reaches over 470 cities on eight continents, and his novels have been translated into more than 216 languages. Adam divides his time between Brooklyn, NY, and Paris, where he lives with his wife on the top floor of the Eiffel Tower.
216+ languages? I guess that's good to start with but as a professional bio-writer I feel like you could play up your accomplishments more. Don't be afraid to show some confidence. You got this!
Plus, In sure you've discovered that if you reverse translate War and Peace and play it at 78rpm, the title becomes War is Peace and the novel takes place on a pig farm in Siberia.
