Licking your shoelaces. A quarter-a-mile-per-hour skid. A runaway lawn sprinkler. Three sweaters at the same time. A baseball cemetery. A barnyard owl. And the first time in two decades.
Hahaha! There’s so much here. I love that Tripod didn’t need to hear, “Tilt.”
How to pick my favorite images? Reginald reaching out his hand without looking up. Phineas throwing knuckleballs like a sprinkler. You paint a helluva scene, my friend. This’d make a terrific film conversion. :)
You lips ➡️ god’s ears. This has been a lot of fun. Happy, sad, all the rest. Thanks for following along. I don’t want to be the only one to see Tripod step through the door on his own.
Thank you. The character’s exchange lures me into remembering my adolescent shift to “fastball.” Still underhand and aluminium bats, and one felt the departure (and stigma) [even in Canada], but with the wild windmill pitching…
I shared the prejudice around softballs which is shocking when you watch one being underhanded at 100mph. But aluminum bats. It is every major leaguers dream to be allowed to use an aluminum bat for one game. Balls would fly out of stadiums.
Thanks, Matt! Sorry for the late response here. You're an early bird like I am. It's really hard to know when to post these, especially because they are fiction and, um, longer. If i could figure out a way to do it, I'd go back and look at when all the feedback is concentrated and see if that tells me anything. There are certainly dud times. (And posts.) :-)

I tried voting but it kept giving me an error. I read early morning 0500-0800 usually. Weekends sometimes between 0800-1200.
