So good. "My father doesn't believe in me." Oh, man, that is powerful. It makes me more determined to hopefully never give that impression to my beloveds.

(I didn't mean to imply that I thought that my father didn't believe in me, God rest his soul. He lavished his affection and confidence on me his whole life and I loved and miss mom and dad dearly.)

That last paragraph. The life force that is flowing through this story...love it!

Thanks for sharing that. Some of the pieces I've tickled myself with. The What Cheer Sentient Stoplight one of them. You're probably referring to what's just before it (the connection between the two of them.

Unrelated, I think there's an image in there that isn't clear yet (the way an umpire jerks his hand up with his thumb extended and then imagining that with him holding pair of glasses) but all of that is why they invented rewrites.

Yes, the connection between Reg and Phineas is superb. And the What Cheer Sentient Stoplight, not changing until they did! What a ride with this...thanks Adam!

Reg and Phineas, a symbiotic relationship after all . You were right, Adam, I can’t guess how it all ends, but I love the direction it’s taking.

“The sentences were too wonderful. They were like having Magic 8 Baseballs”. Those pesky Magic 8 balls, always waiting for the answer you want to see, and the darn thing snubs you, as if it knows just the one you’re waiting for. “You know, you wouldn’t believe what he hides in his biggest trophy.”

Ooh, I think, well, maybe I thinking I know.
