bring it on Mezz Mezzrow

By total chance, I walked by Mezzrow's the other day in the Village, a jazz club from after you lived out here, but maybe you know it. Definitely listen to thirty seconds of Ascension if you don't know it already. Be glad the guy's not your roommate. The protagonist, not John Coltrane.

I don't know about these cats, but my friend's marriage is on the rocks due to her husband's relentless obsession with all things Jazz flute.

Yup. That would do it. We used to have family friends, and the husband loved sitar music. "Loved it" isn't quite strong enough. Like restraining-order level of loved it. Oh, also, "these cats" made me lol.

It’s about Jazz, of course I’ll “feel something”. Is Miles D. the next door neighbor?

Are you a jazz fan? Also, have you listened to Ascension? give it 30 seconds and you'll get a feel?

This one is a fast in-and-out, but I think it fits with the others in its way. Thanks for reading.

A Louis Armstrong handkerchief collection? That's deep fandom!

Haha. That would definitely be deep fandom. A special glass case for the ones that were used mid-performance.

What is there to understand...really it is about the feelings from the sounds and silences in between^^

I can’t call myself a jazz aficionado , but I do have my favorites, Keith Jarrett, most definitely, yes. Pat Metheny, my #1, and the list is long. Coltrane’s Ascension;

the “shrieking and chaos” ok for background music while cleaning the house, or blasting over the outside speakers, while raking our woods. Easy listening, nope.
