Let's Ship a Drone to Ukraine Together
Somewhere on the 750-mile front, Ukrainian soldiers are going to open up our package and find a state-of-the-art reconnaissance drone. Be a part of that moment.
I have a story and an ask.
From February 24th until mid September, I followed the war in Ukraine obsessively. I tracked updates on Google News, the DrudgeReport, the Washington Post, and the New York Times. I learned the names of villages that were liberated. In the mornings I woke up and scrolled through Twitter for 45 minutes - or longer.
But I didn't do anything about it.
"I was following the war like I was following a sports team."
It wasn't that I didn't want to help. I did want to help! Of course, I wanted to help! All of that time, I was "this close" to helping! I just needed something to tip me over into action. For me, it was reading this on Twitter:
"Whatever you're doing now is what you would have done in 1939."
Ugh.
That was my moment. I made my first donation that day. I needed that nudge to course correct. If you know what I'm talking about, and you're anything like me, you'll see that this is an opportunity as much as it is an ask.
What exactly is this opportunity?
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has an official charity arm of Ukraine called UNITED24. There are a number of ways to help. One of them is through their "Dronation" program. They are asking for drones that can help them defend a 750-mile front.
This drone costs $7,639. I would like your financial support to procure, ship and deliver the state-of-the-art drone you see below.
It will be used for surveillance and equipped with a high-end thermal camera, a loudspeaker, a spotlight, and a night flight beacon. Almost impossibly it flies up to 4 miles high.
Our drone is exactly the specification that Zelenskyy is asking for and that soldiers in a trench somewhere are waiting for.
Additional details on the Autel Robotics EVO II Dual 640T are here.
When the funds are available to purchase this drone, I will tag its case with our names and a group email along with a message of support for the front-line soldiers who will use it. The drone will be delivered to Ukraine's Dronation center in Port Reading, NJ. They manage the delivery of the drone to the front lines from there.
"Somebody along the 750-mile front is going to be thrilled to open this package up. Be part of that moment."
Specifically, how do I make a donation?

1939.
Just posted the link to my Facebook and Twitter pages. Skin in the game is the only thing that really matters, in this as in everything. I'm still conflicted and unsure about the whole thing, but I do appreciate your commitment in the matter, and I may yet join you there.
