So, I'm in awe of Michael Chabon right now. Awe and envy. I've been working my way slowly through T.A.K.C, chapter by chapter, rereading and pencilling and thinking. It's like a masterclass. I considered writing notes on it as I thought through what I was learning, but opted to avoid another idea erupting into new responsibilities and deadlines.

But, I decided to unpack one random, long sentence. What's in it? How does it hang together? Because my experience reading it is effortless. Why is that? I thought it would be useful to see what all of the parts were. These were the parts. It's more interesting to me than instructive, but there's an appealing architecture to it. If there's a clever mind here, it is Chabon's.

I posted a note above this about my thinking on this little diagram if you're curious.

I probably would have just taken notes Adam! 😂

I’ll just repeat what Julie said… “I love how your mind works”!

That's very kind of you. Thanks, Susie.

You do realise this is a content analysis as opposed to a deconstruction, due to the fact you attribute no meaning or reading to any of the language used in the sentence. 😎

Superb! As an impassioned diagrammed, let me ask: what software did you use?
