Would have loved to have read the prompt. Am I the only person with a list of must-haves for the perfect vacation: #1,2, and 3: watching the weather, and heading to a place with more snow than we have, and even less people. I guess that’s why the house motto is ‘don’t leave snow to find snow’. I am imagining love in a rowboat, background music, Neil Diamond’s song; Love on the Rocks. “More laughter. Northern Lights. Their voices carry over the water.” Love those lines. I’ve been in a rowboat many times, we own one. Floating on a beautiful, quiet lake after sunset when the stars are beginning to paint the sky a deep midnight blue. The seats, are not padded. Now the dock, that’s another story.
When I first saw this note come in, I thought it was a response to something I posted of yours and for the life of me it was one of those comments that leaves you totally stumped, but now, now it all comes together. Always make sure to wear an oarlock.
The imagery that comes along with this made me laugh, and the last part made me blush. A great way to start a Sunday. Thank you!
A laugh AND a blush. Well, it's been a long time since I had the effect on anyone. 😀
@EJ Kemp flash fiction coming in hot! so good.
Yay! This found me at the perfect time. During a nightly read session.
I love it! Thanks for reading. 😄
Thank you, Adam, for the sweet shout out! Here's to vacations on that fjord, wherever we can find it.

If you were imagining Neil Diamond, then "This One's For You" this morning. You'll see.
I love the way this one meanders a bit then rocks us to safety. Wonderful writing!
really gives a new interpretation to the phrase "sticking your oar in"

Haha, I'm glad it eventually "came together." My mind is always at the bottom of the boat.
Fun!
Thanks, Carl. We have some offline news for you both.
